2014-The Garden of Eatin',named by a 13 year old girl a few years ago, is a project of the Westside Community Church. A couple in the church donates the land, water and plants and about 8 members help them plant the garden each year. In 2013 6,000 pounds were donated- 1,000 to the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission and 5,000 to the Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank. The church sends a challenge to other organizations to adopt a similar project, whether it be a large or small garden, or an individual garden. No amount of produce is too small.

We would be lost without our volunteers. AND we’d get nothing done! We have nearly 800 volunteers that give their time sorting food, distributing food, helping with events and this wonderful group, putting our fundraising newsletter together. Our volunteers gave 24,000 hours of their time last year. That’s $240,000 worth of free labor. YOU TRULY ARE OUR ANGELS!
The Dept. of Human Services Staff raised nearly $800 to support those in need in Klamath County. They also secured a 17,000 pound food donation from JW Walker Farms. WOW…What a wonderful group. Thanks to All!!
